In a news which will break hearts of millions of IPL Lovers in India, Indian Home Minister Mr.Sushil Kumar Shinde said due to general elections, the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2014) will not be held in India.

Citing security reasons, Home Minister said it wont be possible to provide security covers as dates are clashing with General Elections. Taking note of this, The IPL governing council has said that the upcoming seaso would be played in South Africa

Earlier in 2009 also the venue was shifted to South Africa due to Lok Sabha elections.
