The poor run of Royal Challengers Bangalore ended today and they won today’s match by 3 runs. Chasing the target of 157  Deccan Chargers lost Gilly and Gibbs at team score of 31. Very very special Laxman played the captains knock and was firm on one end. Rohit Sharma came to the center and got into a decent partnership with Laxman. Rohit Sharma and V.V.S.Laxman both scored half centuries and with this half century, Rohit Sharma became the highest run getter in the Indian Premier League and thus will wear the orange cap now. They needed 42 runs in the last 4 overs. Kallis was the bowler and Sharma hit the 1st ball for a four and the second for a six.In an effort to hit one more six, Rohit Sharma got out after having a partnership of 96 with Laxman.Afridi was the one who came after the dismissal of Sharma and Deccan Chargers needed 29 runs in 18 balls.Afridi was out for 1 and it looked that Royal Challengers are back again in the game.Wickets were falling continuously and the main stay Laxman was also out leaving the team in  need of 25 runs from 2 overs. Zaheer got Styris in the second last over and bowled an excellent line. Deccan Chargers needed 20 runs in the last over and that proved to be too much for them. Deccan Chargers could not capitalize on the innings of Laxman and Rohit Sharma and lost a match which was almost in their favor. Kumble was hit for 2 sixes and Deccan Chargers needed 5 off the last bowl but they could not score it and thus Royal Challengers Bangalore Won By 3 Runs.It was a match which witnessed  changing fortunes in the last 5 overs. Earlier it looked that Deccan Chargers would easily win the match but some excellent bowling by Royal Challengers Bangalore assured the win.
