Kolkata Knight Riders thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets to keep their hopes to qualify for playoffs intact.

Robin Uthappa (40 off 33 balls) was then run out by Sammy when the team score was 59. Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan then played sensible cricket as they knew its just that they have to play complete overs and runs will come. Sunrisers total was not so high that it could exert any pressure, the only way they could win was to take wickets which the duo denied. They took the score past 100 run mark after which Pandey got out after scoring 35. Yusuf Pathan continued from the other end and remained unbeaten on 39 and was well supported by Ryan ten Doeschate who played a cameo of 25 in 15 balls to take his team to a superb 7 wicket win.
