In a media release, The Technical Committee announced that Ben Wheeler will replace injured New Zealand all-rounder Jacob Oram in the Central Stags squad for Airtel Champions League Twenty20 in South Africa.

All rounder Jacob Oram exaggerated a knee problem in nets while practicing for the three nation series being held in Sri Lanka. His surgery is scheduled for next week and it would take some time before he can return to field. He has been suffering from this knee trouble for quite some time now and is hopeful that after surgery he would be totally fit to play for New Zealand again.

The young emerging talent, Ben Wheeler is all set to grab this opportunity and strengthen his position in the national squad.
