The Mumbai Indian pacer Munaf Patel is again in news and that too for wrong reason as he was fined 50% of the match fees due to breach of code of conduct in the IPL match against King’s XI Punjab.

Munaf Patel admitted to the the Level 1 offenses i.e. making offensive gestures (Article 2.1.4) and conduct bringing the game into disrepute (Article 2.1.8).

The incident happened in the third over of the Kings XI Punjab innings when Punjab opener Nitin Saini hit Patel for two fours. On filed Umpires and captain of MI Harbhajan Singh intervened to calm the situation.
