The champs of IPL season 1, Rajasthan Royals finally had some reprieve as the arbitration panel had stayed the expulsion for six weeks.

On October 20, BCCI had terminated the franchisee agreements with Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals citing violation of the terms of agreement. Rajasthan Royals challenged this in Supreme Court and thus a panel was appointed to look further into this matter.
