Today in the 21st match of Pepsi IPL 2013, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to field. Delhi who were desperately looking for a win got off to a steady start as David Warner and V Sehwag added 43 runs in 5.1 overs before Warner got out. Soon Sehwag also got out after scoring 25 off 23 balls. The middle order got some start but none of them could covert it into a big one. Some last overs hitting by Kedar Jadhav helped Delhi post a total of 152/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing 153 to win, RCB lost both openers when the team score was just 26. Once again captain Virat Kohli came to the rescue as he scored a brilliant 50 balls 65. AB de Villiers supported him well with his 32 ball 39 runs knock. At one stage RCB were cruising along well but with the wicket of AB de Villiers, Delhi came back into the game. DD bowlers did a splendid job and the match ended in a tie.
The match was the continued to Superover, Gayle and AB de Villiers came from RCB and faced Umesh Yadav. An excellent over was changed dramatically by AB de Villiers as he scored two sixes on the last ball and thus posted a total of 15. Chasing 16 to win, Warner got out on the very first ball and eventually Delhi could score just 11 and thus lost the match in super over.
